A match query returns a unique hit for the information provided about the person or company being searched for, as well as specific information content. If there is no match, no hit is returned. In addition to the match product type and address, the legitimate interest (ReasonOfInquiry) must be provided. The search result can be restricted using the SearchFilter. Searching with the CrefoID is not supported in the match search.

The response to the match query is a hit of the MatchItem type. This may contain a credit rating as well as product-specific information.

Creditreform supports product types that always return a hit, e.g. for later data delivery. Optionally, identification at the post office can be integrated into the match search. If a person is newly created by a match search, the status ‘unknown’ is returned.
